Elective Procedures Require COVID Testing
For your protection, and in compliance with regulatory requirements, all patients undergoing the following MUST be screened for COVID-19 5 days prior to their procedure or surgery:

How do I get tested for COVID-19 prior to my procedure?

What type of test will I have?
You will have a COVID-19 Nasal Swab test. You will administer the test yourself under the direction of a lab technician. The test is simple. You will be asked to swab each nostril and then put the swab in a vial with your name printed on it, seal it and hand it over to the technician.
What happens if I test negative?
A negative test indicates that you do not have COVID-19 presently in your body. Your procedure will be performed as scheduled. If your test is negative you will not receive a call with your results. You will be required to sign a COVID-19 Risk Informed Consent prior to the procedure .
What happens if I test positive?
If you test positive, this indicates you currently have COVID-19. You will receive a phone call from your provider’s office with the result. Your procedure/surgery will be cancelled and you will be referred to your primary care physician for monitoring and treatment as needed. The COVID-19 test will be repeated 14 days after the initial positive test.
What happens if I don’t get tested prior to my procedure?
If you arrive for your procedure without being tested, or before a result has been received, we will be unable to perform the procedure.
What do I do after my COVID-19 test?
After your COVID-19 test, we recommend that you self-quarantine and limit physical interaction with others until the day of your procedure. Maintain current social distancing recommendations including:
What happens if I feel unwell after being tested, before my procedure?
If after being tested and prior to your procedure you feel ill please notify us immediately.
