Mental Health Association of Westchester (MHA)

The Mental Health Association of Westchester (MHA) promotes mental health through advocacy, community education and direct services.  Through their advocacy programs and community events, MHA is able to meet the needs of thousands of men, women, children and families each year, helping them live independent, productive lives in our community.

Dedicated to recovery, their core services include safe housing, meaningful work, care management, supportive relationships and a holistic approach to mental health. MHA is aggressively growing their peer services division, as well as efforts to provide more help in people’s homes, schools and other natural milieus. Recognizing the tragic effects the epidemic of opioid addiction and the strong interdependence between mental and physical health, MHA is continuously building capacity to serve people affected by substance use disorders and better integrated care.  Additionally, in 2016, MHA launched a telemedicine portal. They were one of the first Office of Mental Health-licensed clinics in New York State to launch this type of service, which features HIPAA-compliant state-of-the-art technology that allows clients to receive help from MHA psychiatrists via their computer or mobile device.  Read more:  www.mhawestchester.org
