CareMount Medical Appoints Matthew Kamen to Senior Director of Strategic Analytics and Development

Chappaqua, New York—August 19, 2020CareMount Medical, P.C., the largest independent multi-specialty medical group in New York State, recently appointed Matthew C. Kamen, as Senior Director of Strategic Analytics and Development.  In this capacity, Mr. Kamen is responsible for leading CareMount’s strategic and population health analytics functions while overseeing a team of actuaries, economists, analysts, and data scientists within CareMount’s Population Health division. Mr. Kamen has worked for CareMount Medical since 2018, serving most recently as Director of Strategic Analytics and Development.

Kelly, MBA, CareMount Medical Chief Value Officer and Executive Director of CareMount ACO, LLC. “His efforts have led directly to the launch of innovative and successful new programs that better serve our patients across New York State.”

As Senior Director of Strategic Analytics and Development, Mr. Kamen leads the strategic direction and performance management of CareMount Medical’s risk programs and supports executive leadership with strategy and corporate development activities. Mr. Kamen and his team collaborate with CareMount’s medical directors and functional leads to deliver actionable insights at the point of care and align provider incentives and business operations with improved outcomes under value-based contracts.

Prior to joining CareMount Medical, Mr. Kamen was the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Value-Based Payment Innovation at WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (NYSE:WCG), where he led the enterprise development of innovative payment models to incentivize value-based care and managed a portfolio of 25+ physician partnerships across Medicare ACOs, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid. He graduated from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, with Honors Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance, Business Economics, and Public Policy with a concentration in Economic Consulting.
