Dr. Jenkins is delighted to be at CareMount Medical and proud to be part of a practice that is highly regarded for its high quality, integrative medical care. His goal is to provide comprehensive primary care with an interdisciplinary approach. He attaches great importance to establishing a rapport with his patients in order to develop long-term, trusting relationships. He places an emphasis on evidence-based practices and thorough discussion with patients to ensure all their concerns have been addressed.
Dr. Jenkins received his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C., where he also completed his residency in internal medicine. Prior to studying medicine, Dr. Jenkins earned a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management from Emory University. He is an active member in a number of professional societies and is board certified in Internal Medicine.
Before joining CareMount Medical, Dr. Jenkins practiced hospital medicine for a number of years and last served as Chief of Hospital Medicine at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center in Maryland. A native of New Orleans, Dr. Jenkins naturally enjoys cooking. He is married and has two well-intentioned, sweet dogs. In his free time, he also enjoys fly fishing and a range of other outdoor activities as well as traveling.
