Teresa M. Alasio, MD is a Board Certified Anatomic Pathologist and Cytopathologist with over 10 years of experience. Dr. Alasio has reviewed over 25,000 cytology specimens throughout her career, and has particular expertise in thyroid cytopathology as well as lesions of the head and neck. Dr. Alasio earned her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where she also completed her residency in Pathology. She continued with a fellowship in Cytopathology at NYU, where she trained in the special technique of FNA biopsy, performing procedures in both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings. She is certified by the College of American Pathologists in ultrasound Guided FNA Biopsy and has also achieved Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound (ECNU) from the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
