Radiology

Dr. Scott Berger is a Board Certified MKMG Radiologist with certificate of added qualification (CAQ) in Neuroradiology, and more than 15 years of practice experience interpreting radiology and neuroradiology imaging studies in adults and children, and performing image-guided procedures including fluoroscopic, CT, ultrasound and MR guidance. Dr. Berger received his MD and PhD decrees at the Tri-Institutional program of Weill Cornell Medical Center (Memorial Sloan Kettering and Rockefeller University). He was an intern at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, resident in Diagnostic Radiology at Yale New Haven Hospital, and fellow in neuroradiology (chief fellow) at Yale New Haven Hospital.

As a Clinical Assistant Professor at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Berger performs and teaches a wide range of radiological procedures including myelography, image-guided biopsy, arthrography (joint injections), vertebroplasty, paracentesis, thoracentesis, sialography, genitourinary and many other CT and fluoroscopically-guided vascular and nonvascular procedures. Dr. Berger also holds a Ph.D. doctoral degree in the area of neuroscience, particularly, on strategies to interfere with the damage that occurs due to cerebral stroke.

Dr. Berger is a member of several professional societies related to his field, including senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology, American Society of Head and Neck Radiology, American Society of Spine Radiology, American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology, Society of Neurointerventional Surgery, American College of Radiology, and others. Dr. Berger is a member of the Federal Affairs Committee of the Radiology Business Managers Association (RBMA), and a member of the Economics Committee of the American Society for Neuroradiology (ASNR). Dr. Berger is the author of more than 30 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and was the recipient of several prestigious radiology awards, including RSNA Research Award. Dr. Berger has been recognized as a “top doctor” including by Castle Connolly, and is also recognized as one of the top regional neuroradiologists by New York Magazine.
