Dr. Robert D. Pfeffer is a board certified gastroenterologist. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at New York University School of Medicine and is an Attending Physician at New York University Langone Medical Center where he has been teaching NYU medical students, residents and gastroenterology fellows for the past 15 years.
Dr. Pfeffer has specific expertise in:
• Colon cancer prevention through screening
• Colonoscopy
• Community outreach programs.
Dr. Pfeffer attended college at Brown University and then proceeded to New York University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at New York University Langone Medical Center/Bellevue Hospital and his gastroenterology fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Pfeffer is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine.
Dr. Pfeffer was awarded the AMA Physicians Recognition Award for his commitment to participate in continuing medical education. He was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa at Brown University and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society at New York University School of Medicine.
