Nicholas Abel, PA-C started his career at the Hospital for Special Surgery in 2014, where he began his career as a Late Core Physician Assistant. Majority of his work was in the operating room scrubbing in on all orthopedic cases for all services at HSS. He is now per diem with HSS and works full time for Caremount Medical working with Dr. Pidoriano and Dr. Rubinstein in the operating room as well as the office.
Nicholas received a baseball scholarship to Stony Brook University, where he graduated with a degree in Health Science. Upon graduation, he signed a professional baseball contract with the New York Mets Organization as a relief pitcher, where he pitched for 3 years. After baseball, Nick went to Long Island University in Brooklyn for PA school.
His hobbies are tennis, golf, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, scuba diving, water skiing with his wife and daughter. He also can speak Czech, Slovak, and French.
