Dr. Yasgur earned both his BS and Masters degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University in 1981 and 1982. He then worked as an Orthopaedic Engineer at the Hospital for Special Surgery from 1983 to 1987, where he designed and developed artificial joints for knee, hip, shoulder, elbow, and wrist replacement surgery.
Dr. Yasgur then completed 10 years of medical training, including his MD with Honors from Cornell University Medical College, in 1991. After finishing a general surgery internship at NYU/Bellevue Hospital, he then did his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Hospital for Joint Diseases, one of the nation's premier orthopaedic hospitals. His training culminated in a fellowship for Knee Reconstruction and Sports Medicine in 1997 at the Insall-Scott-Kelly Institute of Beth Israel Medical Center-North.
Dr. Yasgur is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Yasgur was named Director of Quality and Outcomes, Orthopedic and Spine Surgery Institute, Northern Westchester Hospital, Mt Kisco, NY in July 2010. Dr. Yasgur was named to Castle-Connolly New York Metro Top Doctors from 2011-2016. Additionally, he was named to Castle Connolly's Top Doctors list, 2013-2018; and Westchester Magazine's Top Doctors listing from 2010 through 2018. Dr. Yasgur was named to Becker's Orthopedic & Spine Review Top Knee Surgeons in US 2009 thru 2011. He was named to Westchester Wag Magazine Most Distinguished Doctors 2007-2016.
