Dr. Christine Karwowski grew up in Bergen County, New Jersey. A proud first generation Polish American, she was thrilled to study medicine at Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poland. She then returned home to the United States and completed her pediatric residency at Goryeb Children’s Hospital in Morristown, NJ and pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Then, for nearly a decade as an attending physician at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore, Dr. Karwowski cared for a wide variety of the most complex pediatric GI patients and developed a special expertise in pediatric inflammatory bowel disease.
Dr. Karwowski and her family were excited for the opportunity to relocate to Westchester County. Outside of her clinical practice, Dr. Karwowski is an aspiring amateur gardener. Also, she is a talented baker, much to the delight of her three young children and husband.
