CareMount Medical is the first center in the area to install SenoClaire®, a new breast tomosynthesis solution designed with 3D imaging technology. SenoClaire uses the lowest dose short X-Ray sweep around the positioned breast with nine exposures acquired with a “step-and-shoot” method, removing the potential motion from the tube helping to reduce blur and increase image sharpness.
The 3D imaging results are proven superior to traditional mammography. In addition, GE’s SenoClaire system uses the lowest dose in the industry, supporting our mission to provide the highest level of patient care possible.
“SenoClaire marks a significant step forward in helping our clinicians detect breast cancer. At CareMount Medical, we provide our patients with the most effective ways to battle cancer from every possible angle, with innovative procedures, medicines and technology.” — John Basile, Administrative Director of Radiology at CareMount Medical
Tomosynthesis replaces traditional 2D digital mammography. The technique is designed to separate the tissues by acquiring very thin cross-sectional images of the breast. Those images are then reconstructed with computer analysis resulting in superior image quality while reducing the overlapping of structures – typically the limiting factor in standard 2D mammography. The final results demonstrate high resolution visualization of tiny structures previously very difficult to image and interpret using traditional mammography methods.
Patient Care is our Top Priority
With a staff of 19 board-certified radiologists with subspecialty expertise in Body Imaging, Neuroradiology, Musculoskeletal, and Women’s Imaging, CareMount Medical excels in having the finest interpretive team available covering all modalities.
Whether in X-Ray, MRI, PET/CT, Ultrasound, Bone Density, or Mammography in our new Women’s Health Center, your images receive a highly skilled and experienced approach from initial acquisition to diagnosis.
At CareMount Medical, all mammography patients confer with our radiologists following their procedures to review clinical results and have the opportunity to ask questions. We feel strongly that patients’ concerns or any additional views needed should be addressed at the time of service. This level of care is standard practice at all of our locations.
