Clinical Research Trials

The CareMount Medical Cancer Center’s Oncologists conduct clinical trials (research studies) for a variety of cancers in coordination with several of their affiliated organizations including Harvard’s Massachusetts General Hospital and Dana Farber Partners Cancer Center, Northern Westchester Hospital Clinical Trials Department and Clinical Research Alliance. The goal of this research is to find better ways to treat cancer that may benefit cancer patients now and in the future.

At the CareMount Medical Cancer Center we are able to gain access to national and international trials for our patients through the National Cancer Institute as well as various pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies who are developing many of these promising new cancer therapies.

Our patients are able to access these exciting new agents and research studies by meeting with our Oncologists who determine if they are a candidate for the available studies. Our Oncologists work closely with our research coordinators who are available to assist our patients considering and participating in our research studies.

The Oncology Research Coordinator will provide the patient and family with detailed information regarding all aspects of the trial. Participation is optional and anyone considering joining a clinical research trial must be fully informed about the trial details, benefits, and risks. Once patients are enrolled in a clinical trial, the Research Coordinator and Oncology Nurses together with the treating physician provide ongoing assessment and education to both the patient and the family.

Dr. Jonathan Goldberg is the Medical Director of Cancer Clinical Trials. The team also includes Dr. Manish DaveDr. Julie GoldDr. Jeffrey Halaas, and Dr. Jason Rubin, who are all able to enroll their patients into research studies.   For more information or to schedule an appointment please call to speak with one of our Cancer Center New Patient Referral Specialists at 1-844-484-3292.
